| Glasses
Exam This examination includes an ocular health evaluation, which allows for the determination of the health of the eye, as well as, measuring the patient's visual status. An external examination of the eye is performed to evaluate the movements of the eye, responses of the pupil and the health of the eyes tissues. An internal examination is performed to assess various eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and possible ocular effects from health problems such as diabetes. The current visual status is determined by the refraction, which is the process through which the doctor will determine the prescription for the eye glasses if needed. |

| Contact
Lens Exam Similar to the glasses examination, this examination also includes an ocular health evaluation, which allows for the determination of the health of the eye, as well as, measuring the patient's visual status. Additionally, the contact lens exam includes contact lens fitting procedures, which consist of corneal measurements. This allows the doctor to determine the proper fitting and type of contact that would be most appropriate for the patient. The patient also receives training for proper insertion, removal, and care of the contact lens. This exam includes 30 days of unlimited follow-up on the lens performance after the fitting. A prescription for both glasses and contacts are included. |
